Canon EOS 400D

Nowadays 10-megapixel cameras are widely available and also in our reach. And not only in professional use but also for personal use 10-megapixel camera becomes very handy. Today I am going to talk a little about Canon EOS 400D also known as digital Rebel XTi.

In my previous article I wrote about how I choose my 1st pro camera. Well it was not all wild guess but the spec of the camera also has a great influence in my decision.

The journey of Canon EOS 400D started on August 2006. Till then it becomes one of the most trustable partner of a photographer. It is the successor of the popular EOS 350D, with an upgrading 10.1-megapixel CMOS censor, a larger continuous shooting buffer, an integrated image sensor vibrating cleaning system (first use in a Canon EOS DSLR), a more precise 9-point auto focus system from the EOS 30D, improved grip, and a bigger 2.5-inch (64 mm) LCD with 230,000 pixels and a larger viewing angle which replaces the top status screen.

The only similarity of 400D with D80 and Alpha A100 is the pixel count and imaging flexibility. Other then that Canon 400D is on the other side of the river with far more advance CMOS image sensor as opposed to the CCD variants installed in the D80 and Alpha A100. And so, it is completely a different level of imaging performance and value comparison altogether.

For a long time I have been craving for a good dslr camera. I have been searching in internet browsing the market for a perfect one for me. After a long research I focus on three cameras. At first all my interest was on Sony Alpha A100. But later I found Nikon D40x and Canon EOS 400D much more intriguing. The good looking body with high specs and low price force me to choose one between Nikon D40x and Canon EOS 400D. I start reading reviews on these two models. I found that many people prefer Canon EOS 400D. There is no major difference between these two models. Only the price is slightly different. But both share the same specifications. Now I was confused which one to choose. Both are good and powerful and both were in my range. I started asking different peoples for their opinions about these cameras. Many of them prefers canon for its fame in the camera market. And I guess I have some feelings for this brand which leads me to choose Cannon over Nikon. So I went to the market and straight away bought this camera with out even bothering to look anymore. And now I can say I did not make any mistake by buying this camera. It supports me wonderfully with all the latest technology in camera world. With 10.1 Mega Pixel I can take pictures with large size. The powerful sensors allow me to get the depth of color and details of my pictures. And the lenses are simply awesome. Also I have lots of options for my lenses starting from wide angle lenses to macro lenses every kind of lenses is suitable for this one. For any other camera lover with low budget I would suggest to buy Canon EOS 400D for its splendid performance and low price.
