Some people say photography is an art and some say it is a business. I think that a true photographer always try to be more creative than thinking about how much he can earn from it. I start photo shooting when I was a kid. My dad had this very old model canon film camera which I used to carry it around in all the events in my school and other places. I guess from then I was attracted to photography. Now I own a canon dslr camera and I have been photographing a lot more than before. Everyday when I go out with my camera and find something interesting I shoot it. It doesn’t matter what I am shooting. I really enjoy it.

One thing I believe that a photographer is like an artist. An artist uses his brush to paint amazing pictures while a photographer uses his camera for his creative work. If you take away the camera from the hand of a photographer he is nothing but a blind man walking without his stick. He becomes an ordinary person.

The most important thing of a photographer is his eyes. I was reading this article in internet which says that it’s not in the camera but the eye of a photographer that can make an ordinary picture turn to extraordinary. After reading that article I realize that how much it is true. You can have the best camera in the market but if you don’t know how to shoot with the camera you will not get good pictures.

People are looking for tips and help from different places. They are studying lots of books and tutorials. But I believe that it’s not the book or the tutorial that can help you but it’s you who has to help yourself. Books and tutorial can give you the basics of photography. You should have real life experience than just reading some books. The more you take pictures the more you gain experience. And with this experience you can decide what mistake you are making. But I am not telling to stop reading books. It is necessary to study about photography. If you have no knowledge about photography then you might not have the basics about photography. But to get better photographer you must be in the field with a camera. Recently I mail to a very successful photographer asking his opinion on my works. He gave me some tips and find out my errors. But beside this he also asks me to keep shooting. I know there are lots of people who might not agree with me but I believe that if you want to become a good photographer don’t waste any more time and start shooting

I took these pictures in Kemp Permai, Kuching. There was a cafeteria and all my friends were resting or having some snacks. I was walking by the fence and saw the sea. I did not wait any more and start taking pictures.

the 1st picture is the direct view from the cafeteria. I waited for a while measure the light and press the shutter. It came out a little dark but the position where I was is not a good one. I was trying to take the pictures of the tree with the rocks and keeping the sea as a background.

In the 2nd picture I tried to squeeze the sky into my frame. And luckily this time I got a better shot.
But I think the 3rd one is the best. With the light effects and clouds making my background completely different then the rest of the pictures.

The last picture I took while I was walking in the forest. I wasn't aiming for anything. I just look around through my camera and thought it could be nice picture. All these pictures i took I use Fuji film S3100 camera.

The trip to Kemp Permai was excellent. Its not too far from Kuching. Its near to Damai which is also a very popular tourist spot. We went to this tourist resort last year around October-November. It is a nice place to visit with friends. We stayed there for 1 night in a cottage. The most exciting part was the BBQ at night. All our friends gather together in the balcony. After a long struggle we lit the fire for the BBQ. It was awesome. Here I uploaded some pictures i took at Kemp Permai. Iuse Fujifilm S3100 camera to take the pictures.

Everyone was trying to lit fire for the BBQ. There is Yaseer with blue T-shirt, who gave the most effort to lit the fire. Rezwan was trying to help him but obviously he felt happy that there was no fire yet . He was just standing near the BBQ stand and smiling while arsalan was happy to seat around..... During this time i was behind my camera taking shoots and not helping at all... :)
sad bhai came forward to help yaseer to lit the fire. And as usual i am still behind the camera enjoying the show :)
At last we are succeeded to lit the fire and start BBQ.. At the back there is sayed helping out rezwan to BBQ.
The smoke really starts to come out as we started BBQ.. It was hard to stay near the smoke as it was causing tears out of our eyes. But I was determined to go near the smoke and shoot some pictures.
